Grant Beerman, a 6-foot-4, 220 pound linebacker from West Chester (OH) Lakota West, announced his top four schools earlier this week, and the Mountaineers made the cut. Rounding out his list are Michigan State, Purdue and Cincinnati.
Beerman currently holds a 3-star, 88 overall rating from 247Sports, ranking him as the No. 72 linebacker in the class of 2025 and a top-25 player in the talent-rich state of Ohio. He owns offers from about 30 division one programs, including over 15 power four schools.
Beerman recently took an official visit to WVU back in late June of this year, and the Mountaineers offered him a scholarship back in early December. His decision date is currently set for July 6 (two days). WVU has been recruiting Beerman aggressively recently, and have a real shot here.
West Virginia currently has 21 players committed in the class of 2025, but none of that group is listed as a linebacker. Beerman would be the first of the class.
