The NFL matches on Netflix are already on a pretty rocky start with fans being frustrated over how Netflix messed up the quality of the live telecast of the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Pittsburgh Steelers even before the game began. As many people bought a Netflix for the sole purpose of watching the NFL matches on the streaming giant while getting together with family on Christmas, here are a few other ways one can catch the NFL Christmas games today.
While Netflix remains as an options, fans of the Chiefs and Steelers can use both local CBS affiliate TV stations and NFL+ which is a premium subscription service of the NFL. However, only those fans who live in either Kansas City or in Pittsburgh can tune into their local CBS affiliate station. Similarly, people who are living in either Baltimore or Texas can skip Netflix and tune into their local CBS affiliate stations to catch the most exciting and anticipated match of the season. For fans who want to watch the match between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers, they can tune into:CBS-PIT: KDKA and CBS-KC: KCTV. For fans who want to watch the match between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans at 4:30 PM ET, they can tune into CBS-HOU: KHOU and CBS-BAL: WJZ-TV
Both the matches today between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 PM ET and the match between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans at 4:30 PM ET are one of the most anticipated matches in the whole 2024 National Football League season. Earlier this year, the streaming giant Netflix signed an exclusive deal with the NFL where they acquired the live streaming right for a value of $150 million.
Netflix has promoted the NFL Christmas Day games for months but NFL fans were not sure if this was a right decision taken by the NFL. This was majorly because Netflix could not satisfy fans last month when it first live streaming the most anticipated boxing match between YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul and the legendary Mike Tyson. Even though Jake won, Netflix faced a lot of criticism due to the poor broadcast quality – glitchy screens and frozen onscreen moments. Despite facing a ton of criticism, Netflix assured fans the NFL Christmas Day games will not be suffering the same fate.

But it looks like Netflix could not keep its word. Even before the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers started today, Kay Adams’ audio was not audible for 10 seconds. Mina Kimes’ commentary was cut short when Netflix started showing the trailer of the new season of Squid Games which will be releasing on 26th December. This has frustrated fans and many took to X to complain about the issue.
