As we get closer to the start of training camp for the 2024 NFL season, teams around the league may still be looking to further bolster up their rosters with remaining free agent signings.
Although most big name players have been signed already, there are still some decent names available, who in the right situation can excel at a high level.

Some may argue that the safety position is becoming less and less of a necessity, as around there is still a number of quality free agent safeties circulating.
Simultaneously, teams could still be looking for a quality player at the position, and Justin Simmons is one of them.
The Denver Broncos cut Simmons early this offseason to free up their salary cap situation, likely caused by the whole Russell Wilson debacle.
Despite making a Pro Bowl selection in 2022 and 2021, in 2023 he remained solid by posting 70 tackles, a sack, three interceptions, and an 89.1 opposing passer rating.
Despite being a standout safety over the past 3 years, Simmons is yet to be signed. He has been an outstanding player in the past and could thrive in the right situation.
Based on his style of play, he can easily fit in with a Super Bowl contender like the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite bringing back C.J. Gardner-Johnson in free agency, Philly could still use some extra depth at the position; as Simmons also has a familiarity with current Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.

Renfrow’s time with the Las Vegas Raiders has come to an end, being cut from the team this offseason.
He was a Pro Bowl receiver in 2021 before dealing with a string of injuries, including a concussion and an oblique injury that had sidelined him for some time.
Renfrow can be good in the right situation. He has the raw physical attributes to be an excellent receiver, especially in the slot, where he was highly effective for the Raiders.
Considering that there is a lack of standout talent at wide receiver for the New England Patriots, and that they recently drafted Drake Maye in 2024, Renfrow would be an excellent addition.
After an excellent five years in Buffalo with the Bills, Micah Hyde finds himself as a free agent, looking for his next destination.
Last season, Hyde proved that he is still a high-caliber safety in the league. He finished with 54 tackles and two interceptions.
The veteran can likely return to the Bills, already having a familiarity to their scheme and play style.
Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas used to be one of the league’s premier wideouts.
There was a time when you couldn’t leave him off any top comprehensive NFL receiver list.
However, several injuries have derailed his career.
Thomas hasn’t played a full season since 2018, but despite this he can still be a very solid player at a limited number of snaps.
Last season, he finished with 39 catches for 448 yards and a touchdown.
He can be a good weapon for a team with a young quarterback, like the Broncos with Zach Wilson or Bo Nix, Panthers with Bryce Young, or the Patriots with Drake Maye.
Ryan Tannehill, the former Titans quarterback, could still add some value as a backup quarterback to a team with a rookie or second-year quarterback. Who knows, he might even find a way to steal the starting job from a struggling QB.
At the age of 33 and coming off a good season with the Cowboys, Stephon Gilmore is still performing at a very high level and could instantly provide veteran leadership to a young team looking to build up their DB room.
Yannick Ngakoue’s 2023 season ended early with a broken ankle injury, but prior to the injury he has been really good in every season of his career, managing to get eight sacks or more. When healthy, it’s no question the impact he can provide.
