While the top NFL players go head-to-head at the Pro Bowl, the next generation of NFL stars compete at the East-West Shrine Bowl in Arlington, Texas.
The top college players and NFL prospects are invited to the Shine Bowl each year and split into the East or West teams depending on their school’s location. After four heavily-observed practices, the two teams square off in the Bowl.
The game is an opportunity for players to increase their draft stock. On the contrary, injuries and poor performances can result in the opposite.
University of Michigan nose tackle Kenneth Grant is the sole Wolverine to compete. Interior offensive lineman Luke Newman represents the Michigan State Spartans.
