The Brock Badgers women’s volleyball team hold the No. 8 spot in the U SPORTS Top 10 rankings for the first time in the 2024-25 season.

The Badgers women’s volleyball team continues to be a fixture in the national rankings.
After a successful weekend trip to Thunder Bay, ON, the Badgers hold a 13-3 record and sit second in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) standings.
To start the weekend off, the Badgers completed a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Friday, Jan. 31. The team used a balanced attack as four players (Laurin Ainsworth, Emma Baruchelli, Sadie Dick, Charlotte Ross) finished with eight or more points. Brock shined defensively, out blocking Lakehead 10-7 and leading in the digs category 41-35.
Continuing their momentum from the night prior, the Badgers swept the Lakehead Thunderwolves again 3-0 (28-25, 25-16, 25-17) on Saturday, Feb. 1. Emily Foest finished with a match-high 14 points off of 13 kills and one service ace while Baruchelli and Madison Tuck both finished 0.5 points away from 10 for the contest. Senior setter Lauren Teehan distributed a match-high 33 assists in her first start of the season.
Looking ahead, the Badgers play the rest of their regular season at home at Bob Davis Gymnasium. The four-game homestand begins with a doubleheader battle with the York Lions on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8. Both games have first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
