The Brock Badgers women’s rugby team are nationally ranked for the first time this season.

Weeks in U SPORTS Top 10: One (Sept. 9) 

It took two weeks, but the Badgers have made their way back to the national rankings. 

Last season, they finished as the No. 7 ranked team in the nation in the final rankings released on Oct. 17. 2023. 

After a decisive 43-5 win over the No. 9 McMaster Marauders, the Badgers jumped from their previous spot of No. 15.  

Paige DeNeve led the Badgers in scoring with 18 points from two tries and four conversions as last year’s Ontario University Athletics (OUA) semifinalists delivered a commanding performance. 

This week, the Badgers will get another test in their schedule as they welcome in the No. 2 team in the country, the Guelph Gryphons, at Alumni Field on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m.
