After a gritty win over the Western Mustangs, the Brock Badgers women’s rugby team have finished their Ontario University Ahtletics (OUA) regular season with a 4-2 record.

For the second week in a row, the Badgers are ranked at the No. 8 spot.
On Senior Day, the Badgers took down a feisty Mustangs’ squad 15-7 at Alumni Field on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Three Badgers tied with five points as Matalyn Lee and Mia Vandehoek scored tries and Paige DeNeve kicked a convert and a penalty kick.
Despite having a similar record of 4-2, the Badgers overtook the McMaster Marauders for third place in the OUA standings by virtue of their head-to-head victory on 43-5. The Marauders were then ranked No. 9 when the Badgers earned their first win of the season.
This week, the No. 3 seed Badgers now have their eyes set on the OUA playoffs as they host the No. 6 seed Toronto Varsity Blues who finished with a 3-3 record during the regular season. The game is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. at Alumni Field.
