The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently slated to have the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, and without a need for a quarterback thanks to the presence of Trevor Lawrence, they could improve their talent immensely by adding Hunter.
While the Jags used their 2024 first-round pick to draft a wide receiver in Brian Thomas Jr., they could still use an improvement to their receiving corps. The rookie leads Jacksonville with 42 catches, 689 yards and five touchdowns, while no other player on the team has over 400 receiving yards. Pairing Thomas with Hunter would give Lawrence a promising young duo to distribute the ball to, creating a headache for opposing defenses.
On the other side of the ball, Hunter would pair well with cornerback Tyson Campbell to shut down opposing receivers. Campbell, a 2021 second-round pick, signed a four-year, $76.5 million extension with the Jaguars before the 2024 season and is one of their top cornerstones on defense.
Getting drafted by Jacksonville would also allow Hunter to play in a familiar area, as he was born in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Georgia as a teen.
