Tourism Malaysia Delhi hosted an exclusive “Appreciation Night” on December 19, 2024, at QBA Lounge, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The event celebrated the invaluable contributions of Indian tour operators, airlines, media, influencers, and golf organisations in promoting Malaysia as a top travel destination. Marking a significant milestone, over 1 million Indian travellers visited Malaysia this year, highlighting the growing tourism bond between the two nations.
His Excellency Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian travel community, emphasising their crucial role in achieving this milestone and the potential for even greater collaboration ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. He commended the trust, partnership, and dedication that have made Malaysia a preferred destination for Indian travellers. Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director of Tourism Malaysia Delhi, also acknowledged the pivotal role of Indian travel partners in the country’s tourism growth.
The event highlighted Malaysia’s enhanced connectivity with India, including new direct routes to Penang and Langkawi. These developments strengthen ties and position Malaysia as a leading destination for Indian travellers, paving the way for greater tourism success in the years to come.
