According to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Monday, transactions based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) reached 13.89 billion in June, marking a significant 49 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. In June, the transaction volume totaled Rs 20.07 lakh crore, which was 1.9 per cent lower than May’s figure of Rs 20.45 lakh crore. However, on a year-on-year basis, the transaction volume saw a notable increase of 36 per cent.
Samsung’s largest R&D centre outside Korea, SRI-Bangalore, has partnered internationally to develop AI language models tailored for British, Indian and Australian English, as well as Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian languages. Engineers from multiple Samsung Research centres recently convened in Bangalore to bolster Galaxy AI capabilities specifically for Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian languages.

Handset maker Realme introduced its first tablet, the Realme Pad, in the Indian market in 2021. Since then, the branded has expanded its lineup to include multiple tablet models and now, a new leak suggests that the third iteration in the Realme Pad lineup is likely to be launched soon. Even as Realme has not officially announced the release date, the tablet has surfaced in the IMEI database. The purported Realme Pad 3 is likely to feature enhancements over the Realme Pad 2, which is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chip and boasts an 8,360mAh battery.

At its keynote presentation during MWC Shanghai 2024, titled “The Human-AI Synergy: Intelligent Devices Will Empower People Better,” the company emphasised its commitment to human-centred on-device AI. They also highlighted their recent progress in human-centric AI, AI Deepfake Detection, and AI Defocus Eye Protection technologies.
