The holiday home portal Holidu.ch looked around for the biggest tourist hotspots – and did a simple calculation: the number of inhabitants in relation to the number of tourists.

The top 18 include well-known overtourism locations such as Dubrovnik, Venice and Florence. But there are also some cities that would have been less likely to feature in the ranking.
