In a big change at the top of the rankings, travel experience player Avolta returns to the number one position it held from 2014 until 2019, based on full-year turnover. China Duty Free Group, Lagardère Travel Retail, Lotte Duty Free and DFS Group complete the top five list of travel retailers.

To reflect the importance of the food & beverage channel, for this first time we feature a separate F&B ranking, which is also led by Avolta based on 2023 sales in that channel. In this edition you will find a combined retail and F&B list, also for the first time.

As always, our figures are measured by annualised turnover in each case and converted at 31 December 2023 rates to our standard currency, the Euro, the most commonly reported among our leading players.
