One week after tabbing the 3-1 winner and 39-1 exacta in the San Diego Handicap, Super Screener is back for more where the turf meets the surf, tabbing a 15-1 morning-line play in the California Dreamin’ Stakes on Saturday at Del Mar.
Of course, Super Screener is so much more than just winning plays every weekend. Subscribe now and receive not only Screener every weekend but also Power Picks and Horses to Single reports every day now through Breeders’ Cup for just $97.
The California Dreamin’ Stakes precedes California’s lone Grade 1 this weekend, the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes, and looks to potentially offer the most value all weekend, given the top win contender and top long shot status of On the Whim, who is 15-1 on the morning line, and top win contender and top value for Carmelita’s Man, 8-1 morning line.
“On the Whim fits very well in this spot at a big price,” Super Screener’s Mike Shutty wrote. “After a startling huge debut win last October, he failed in two dirt tries but got back to turf and held his own. He has moved forward in his last two starts showing excellent balance in that last performance. Form-cycle analysis is projecting a move forward, which would put him firmly in the winner’s circle while offering the best price of the contenders.”
Carmelita’s Man figures as the race’s top closer and features prominently in the exotic wagering strategy with the top long-shot pick. Each race in Screener includes picks, analysis and wagering strategy.
