52′ Spain 3-0 Croatia
Wow, what a passage of play. Incredible. Mateo Kovacic is under real pressure with two Spain players pressing him in midfield but he works his way out of trouble with brilliant footwork and is brought down.
Michael Oliver plays a good advantage, Majer finds Kramaric, but he’s robbed before he can find Josip Stanisic, who has loads of space inside the box. Spain break up the other end, it’s a two-on-two with Pedri and Yamal against Pongracic and, I believe, Gvardiol.
Pedri escapes the lunging Pongracic, who pulls the midfielder back – another great advantage from Oliver – and slides in Yamal, who bends it towards the far corner with a first-time left-footed shot…
It looks destined for the bottom corner but it’s brilliantly saved by the diving Livakovic.
