Jamestown “spread the love” on its touchdowns at Strider Field on Thursday in its Section VI flag football victory over Frontier, according to head coach Steve Propheter.
As usual, though, Ella Propheter was the catalyst.
The senior quarterback rushed 13 times for 100 yards; and completed 10 of 19 passes for 117 yards and three TDs. Defensively she had nine flag pulls, including one for loss; and returned an interception 28 yards for another score.
Also contributing offensively were Dainys Cruz, who had two receptions, including one from 25 yards for a touchdown; Kate Kathman, who caught six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown; Abbie Brandow, who collected a 9-yard scoring strike; Kaylee Leeper, who had 11 carries for 40 yards and a one-point conversion; and Cruz, Brandow and Jillian Overbeck-Thompson, who did a fine job blocking.
In addition to Ella Propheter, the Red & Green (4-3) received defensive contributions from Leeper (four flag pulls and two pass breakups); Kathman (five flag pulls); Cruz (four flag pulls) and Maddie Strickland (four flag pulls, including two for a loss, and two sacks).
