Per NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the following players are active: Chicago Bears defensive end Montez Sweat, Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander, New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams, and New Orleans Saints linebacker Pete Werner.
Sweat’s absence from Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle issue raised some concern, especially since the talented pass rusher is already playing through a shin injury.
He has already missed a game this season—sitting out in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals due to his shin injury. The Bears’ defense struggled in his absence, surrendering the most points they’ve allowed all year.
Since joining the Bears in a midseason trade during the 2023 campaign, Sweat has quickly become a vital part of their defensive line. In 17 games with Chicago, he’s accumulated 9.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, and 21 quarterback hits. The Bears listing him as active will undoubtedly be a big boost against the Packers today.
However, the Packers also got some good news, with veteran CB Alexander listed as active after returning to practice on Wednesday after missing the Packers’ Week 9 game against Detroit.
In Alexander’s absence against the Lions, Keisean Nixon (57 snaps) and Eric Stokes (37 snaps) started at cornerback, while Carrington Valentine logged 35 snaps. Through the first nine games of the season, Alexander has played in six. He has recorded two interceptions, including a pick-six, seven passes defended, 16 tackles, and a fumble recovery.
On the Jets’ side, Adams will be in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Colts. He missed two practices earlier in the week due to a wrist injury and illness, but he returned to full practice on Friday.
This will be Adams’ fifth game since being traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Jets, who are hoping to secure their second win with him on the roster. With the Jets needing to win nearly every remaining game to stay in playoff contention, having Adams available provides a major boost to their chances.
Through his first four games with New York, Adams has tallied 20 receptions and one touchdown, though he has yet to break the 100-yard mark in any of those games.

Finally, the Saints’ LB Werner has been dealing with a hand injury that kept him out of practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.
However, he was able to participate in Friday’s practice, albeit on a limited basis. While his limited participation didn’t provide a clear indication of his status for Sunday, he has now been listed as active. This is a positive development for the Saints, as they’ll need all of their linebackers to step up against the Browns.
