Brendan Rodgers is urging his players to “show the power of Celtic Park” against Club Brugge, with the Champions League knockout phase within reach.
Celtic have seven points from their four outings, with the Belgians one behind after their 1-0 home win over Aston Villa.
“We’re really pleased with seven out of 12 at halfway, but not just that, it’s the performance level,” said manager Rodgers.
“In three of the four games we’ve shown a really high level and the Leipzig game was the culmination of everything we would want; the physicality, pressing, aggression and also the calmness in our defending.”
Celtic came from behind to overwhelm the Bundesliga side 3-1 and Rodgers wants to create a similar night for fans to enjoy.
“It’s another opportunity for us to show the power of Celtic Park,” he said.
“We don’t take it for granted but we want to connect with that fire, passion and emotion and bring that on to the field with a level of football that excites.
“You can see, when all of that is connected, what it brings.”
