Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
This won’t take a great deal of winning, and although Star Vantage is an obvious contender following two good runs, a chance is taken on ITURGEON DU BREUIL, who goes in blinkers on his return to hurdling. Skin Full is another one that could go well.
Although Smart Decision has looked like a decent prospect, he has no easy task with his penalty. It could be worth taking a chance on the French-bred LUNDI NOIR making a winning debut. Wallquatari has shaped well in both starts over hurdles, and the newcomer Mad Maxios are two others to consider.
This field presents a major lack of solid options and consequently might present bottom-weight BLACKACRE with his chance to get off the mark. It looks like he stays well and acts on heavy going. Shady B is second on the list after his wind surgery, while Dreams Of Diamonds completes the shortlist.
He Can’t Dance ran a cracker in defeat at the Dublin Racing Festival last weekend. That offers hope that COYOTE SPIRIT is capable of landing this on debut for Gordon Elliott, having chased that Gigginstown representative home at Navan last month.
Garahon is interesting, having been sent off favourite for the valuable bumper at the Punchestown festival when last seen and Kaiser Ball is another threat given his connections.
