This week, Kim Kardashian joined forces with Beats for a new trio of the brand’s flagship Beats Studio Pros. Elsewhere in the product space, Fujifilm launched two limited edition INSTAX MINI EVO Cameras in celebration of its 90th anniversary.
Google, meanwhile, held its annual Made by Google event, where it unveiled its latest hardware. And on the social media side, TikTok now allows users to create group chats with up to 32 users.
Below, Hypebeast has rounded up the top tech stories of the week so you can stay up to date on trends in the industry.
Kim Kardashian inked her second collaboration with Beats. In 2022, the star offered her spin on the Beats Fit Pro buds, which wound up becoming the brand’s best-selling collaboration to date.
The color palette of that 2022 collaboration has made a return in Kardashian’s Beats Studio Pro line. Featuring the reality star’s signature neutrals, the Studio Pros come in a light pink “Moon,” a camel tan “Dune” and a reddish purple “Earth.”
“I’m so excited we’re bringing these three popular, chic colors to Beats’ most iconic and advanced headphones,” Kardashian said. “Beats Studio have always been a fashion statement, so I can’t wait to see how everyone styles them.”
The “Beats x Kim” headphones are available for purchase online globally for $349 USD.
Fujifilm is celebrating 90 years since its launch with two new limited edition cameras. The INSTAX MINI EVO hybrid cameras arrive in new colorways: “Dark Silver” and “Titanium Gold.” Both cameras also feature a special edition finish and camera strap.
The INSTAX MINI EVO pay homage to Fujifilm’s legacy with a vintage look while delivering modern technical capabilities, packing a 1/5-inch CMOS sensor with 2560 x 1920 resolution and an 3-inch LCD screen.
The Fujifilm INSTAX MINI EVO in “Dark Silver” and “Titanium Gold” are priced at $229.95 USD each and will be released on October 25.
Google unveiled all the new hardware coming to store shelves at its annual Made by Google event. Leading the charge is its Pixel 9 smartphones, which come in four different varieties. Along with the new flagship Pixel 9, there’s a Pro version, a Pro XL version and a Pro Fold iteration.
Elsewhere on the roster are the Pixel 3 Watch, rolling out in a 45mm screen size and a larger 45mm option, along with the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Google also announced that Gemini Live would be replacing Google Assistant as the default AI bot for all of its forthcoming hardware.
TikTok users can now create group chats with up to 32 people. The long-requested tool can be accessed through the “chat” button, from which users will be able to create a group chat – though the feature does come with a few limitations.
Users will only be able to join a group chat if they already follow the person inviting them. Group chats also aren’t available at all to those under the age of 15 and those under the age of 18 will be subject to additional restrictions to ensure user safety.
