Nate Ament is one of the top basketball prospects in the class of 2025, and the Kentucky Wildcats are making a push for the 6-foot-9 forward.
According to Travis Branham of 247 Sports, Mark Pope and Cody Fueger were in to visit Ament, the #4 ranked overall prospect in the class, on Wednesday.
As a top 5 prospect in the class, several programs are in on Ament. As Branham noted, Arkansas and John Calipari were also in to visit this week. Tennessee, Louisville, Kansas State, and Texas are also viewed as possible contenders.

He also has offers from Duke, Kansas, UNC, and others. According to 247 Sports, Ament visited Texas last month. He has also been on unofficial visits to Virginia, Duke, Georgetown, and Virginia Tech.
Here’s a little snippet of what 247 Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein had to say about Ament.
“Ament is one of the best long-term prospects in the country. He’s an immense talent and still in the early stages of putting it all together. He has good positional size for a face-up forward at over 6-foot-9 with an elastic body type, albeit a relatively modest 6-foot-11 wingspan. He’s a fluid mover, plus athlete, and has tremendous natural hands and touch, which are the foundation of his developing skill-set.”
This is setting up to be an interesting recruiting battle moving forward.
