More from England batting coach Marcus Trescothick…
Talk in the dressing room? “I don’t think we’ll study what they do too much, we’re a very unique side in how we go about things. We don’t get too down when we have bad days but we don’t get too high when we have good ones. You’ve got to stay level, be consistent and recognise the things that you can improve.
“There are ways we can do better and we’ll look to do that tomorrow. It moved around a lot more than we expected it to, with the amount of swing, when we started this morning. But our challenge now will be that the ball is 30 overs old so hopefully there will be some dew around in the morning when it’s colder, and that may be able to help us.”
Still believe you can win? “Of course, you never look at a game like you’re dead and buried. There will be some guys who can take a look at themselves and think, right, I can do better today so hopefully we can put that right.”
