Visibility is very likely to go well again and Yeoman is worth persevering with at this trip but PRIDE OF NEPAL lost nothing in defeat at Newmarket recently and although yet to win on an artificial surface he isn’t badly treated on the pick of his AW form. Alazwar could also have a better run in him back on this track.
Having shown promise behind the useful colts Cool Hoof Luke and Brian on his sole AW attempt, INVINCIBLE CROWN is very attractively handicapped with a mark of 71 back in this sphere. Son Of Wind, who holds solid claims, is second choice ahead of interesting handicap debutante Mirage Mistress.
The clear form pick is Sky Advocate, who returns to novice level having performed well in an Irish sales race last time. Most of the newcomers are interesting, particularly SEA BAAEED who is attractively bred and represents respected connections. The market signals should help to complete the picture.
Bassadanza doesn’t have such a favourable draw as when making all at Beverley but she should still give it a good go now switched to the AW. Blue Secret and Kebili come into it on their Newbury run in August but if the market likes newcomer VICTORIA HARBOUR, this royally bred filly could be the way to go. Olivia Jane is another beginner who is worth a look.
Beauty By My Side might well have been held back by soft ground last time out and is worth considering on her debut run at Yarmouth. Suite Francaise can be a bigger threat, having already proved herself on Tapeta, but the form looks fairly ordinary at this stage and TAKE A BREATH is taken to step forward from a promising Salisbury debut. Motabaah shouldn’t be far away, either.
The 6yo SPLIT ELEVENS has been in great form this year, winning four times since July, and this return to AW can see him go in again. The main danger is the topweight Shamardia who won here last Monday and should be suited by stepping up in trip. The 3yo Interestnpenalties is also worth keeping an eye on, as his only win came over C&D in April and he has been running well on turf recently.
Fearless Bay is not passed over at all easily, having won two of his last three starts, but OPTICIAN has become a standing dish over 1m4f at Wolverhampton and this may be the right opportunity for him to add to the four wins he clocked up here last winter. Diamond Ranger completes the shortlist.
The return to AW is a positive for SOPHAR SOGOOD and he can leave his recent defeat at Chester well behind and come out on top. Two-time C&D winner Black Smoke is next on the list, while in-form pair Simiyann and Advert Rules could also be involved.
The fitting of cheekpieces and the return to the AW has seen a return to form from SANKARI (nap) and he looks to have a good chance of following up his Southwell win. Phoenix Beach should be involved again while Under Curfew and Spanish Angel can also have cases made.
