It would be no surprise to see Chelmsford winner Telford bounce back in this grade, and, along with Keep Singing, she could give MANARA a bit to think about. Nonetheless, the way the daughter of Camelot won last week, she looks capable of defying a penalty and perhaps going on to better things. Perfect Parole may also be able to get involved.
Tabby (second choice) holds a leading chance provided her latest effort is backed up but an interesting alternative is BE AN ANGEL, whose pedigree suggests she could well relish this switch to AW. Mae Amor is a solid contender and Layla Liz, although worse off with the selection on Leicester form, may progress.
Easily the most appealing contenders are Chelmsford winner FIORELLA PRINCESS and interesting debutante Miss Cartesian in that provisional order of preference. Flexibility can be applied if the latter is particularly strong in the betting. On form, inconsistent Oasis Sunrise is best of the remainder.
As regards the runners with experience, C&D winner GOOD BANTER is the form pick ahead of Chelmsford scorer Naana’s Sparkle. As for the newcomers, Stage Winner (second choice overall) is particularly interesting. The market signals should offer further guidance.
The shortlist is headed by the lightly raced and interesting contenders TAN RAPIDO and Rizg in that order of preference. The selection is particularly unexposed over 6f and looks likely to build on his latest effort, while the second choice is running into form and looks attractively treated back at this distance.
Chief Mankato (third choice) ties in with Tan Rapido, while True Promise may be capable of further progress, Rock Opera enters the reckoning and Aberama Gold has possibilities back down in grade. This looks like an open and competitive affair.
Heartrate would have been tempting with a better draw, which is also a concern for the in-form Beauzon. White Umbrella (second choice), Smasher and Caesars Pearl all need a second look but ALAFDHAL keeps knocking on the door and it might just open this evening now he returns to his most-winning trip.
Off a workable mark and with Rossa Ryan booked, VINCE LOMBARDI is taken to build on his latest effort and record a first AW success. Bluelight Bay, who ties in with the selection on last-time running, is second choice ahead of handicap debutant Vibrato and solid-looking State Flag.
Although he remains on a career-high mark, SIMIYANN (NAP) is very appealing with this return to Wolverhampton a big plus. He recorded two easy wins here last month and is first choice ahead of Little Peter, who may show further progress. Caustic and Alrazeen are other respected contenders on October form, while Diamond Bay looks attractively handicapped.
Khangai can again go close up 3lb but fellow last-time-out winner OCEAN RIDGE has gone well when fresh in the past and could be worth chancing. Keen Interest, Bay Of Naples and Harlington are others likely to be involved.
