While the Kansas City Chiefs, led by the reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, have experienced a somewhat subdued start to the season, Tom Brady, the former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst, has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back.

Although the Chiefs haven’t been as explosive in their first few games, Brady remains optimistic about their potential. He recently placed Kansas City at the top of his power rankings for Week 4, alongside teams like the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, and Houston Texans.
The Chiefs have managed to secure a 3-0 record, yet their offense has not showcased the dynamic energy typically associated with Mahomes and his squad. The absence of key players like wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and running back Isiah Pacheco has impacted their performance. Additionally, tight end Travis Kelce, a cornerstone of the Chiefs’ offensive strategy, has not yet reached his peak form this season, which has further hindered their offensive momentum.
Brady has acknowledged that while the Chiefs have not resembled their usual dominant selves, their resilience in challenging situations is what makes them stand out. He emphasized that the ability to secure victories even when not performing at their best is a hallmark of great teams. “I know they haven’t looked like the normal dominant Chiefs, but they’re finding ways to win, and great teams do that,” Brady stated.
Brady also praised Mahomes for maintaining a strong connection with second-year wide receiver Rashee Rice and commended Carson Steele for stepping up in Pacheco’s absence. Steele’s 72-yard performance in a recent game was seen as a promising sign for the Chiefs’ offense. Brady suggested that it is only a matter of time before Mahomes and Kelce reignite their renowned chemistry. “It’s only a matter of time before that Patrick-Travis connection starts humming like always. It could be this Sunday against the Chargers in L.A.,” he remarked, indicating his expectation for the Chiefs to regain their offensive rhythm soon.
As the season unfolds, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if Mahomes and his team can return to their dominant form and prove Brady right.
