A victory at Winsford Town, kick-off 2pm, would see them leap two points above current leaders Bollington, who will be playing in the semi-finals of the Altrincham FA Senior Cup against Altrincham & Hale.
By the end of Saturday though, Bollington will have two games in hand over Reds in what is now a two-horse race for the title.
Both sides won 4-0 at the weekend, Knutsford at mid-table Cheadle Heath Nomads Reserves while Bollington succeeded at Clay Brow.
Reds’ goals were scored by benchmen Owen Wadsworth, two, and Jimmy Woodward, along with Thi-Reece Lenihan.
Meanwhile, Egerton fell one place to sixth after drawing 1-1 at home to Winsford Town on Saturday.
