The Atlanta Falcons defense faces a major challenge entering Monday’s prime-time matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams were projected to win their divisions but the Falcons stumbled in their Week 1 loss to the Steelers.
The Eagles struggled early before their offense took over in Friday’s season-opening win against the Green Bay Packers. Running back Saquon Barkley scored three touchdowns in his team debut while wide receiver A.J. Brown dominated with five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Brown has been Jalen Hurts’ go-to weapon over the last two seasons but the play-making wideout was limited on Philadelphia’s Friday injury report due to a sore hamstring.

The Falcons would catch a huge break if Brown is unable to play in Week 2 so make sure to check back on Saturday for each team’s final injury report. Atlanta is in relatively good shape entering Monday’s game but linebacker Nate Landman is unlikely to play.
Landman, who earned the team’s top Pro Football Focus grade in Week 1, has missed the last two practices. Atlanta worked out three potential replacements on Friday, including former Falcons linebacker Rashaan Evans and former Pro Bowler Kwon Alexander.
