Among the designers on the night who will be showcasing their work are, Claire Garvey, who has won many awards for her work and has her own shop ‘Claire Garvey Couture’, in Temple Bar.
After she bought the freehold in 2018, Grammy icon Nile Rodgers cut the ribbon for the official opening in 2018. Nile then became Claire’s first menswear customer and inspired her to launch her own menswear range.
He work has been shown in New York Fashion Week and she was one of six designers from across the world to win the competition to show in Paris organised by Madam Figaro magazine.
Since Dancing with the Stars started in 2016, she has designed the jackets for Judge Julian Benson – over 40 forty jackets and outfits, in fact – and gained more worldwide attention when she designed the Miss Universe Ireland costume.
Other customers of mine include Mary Coughlan, Katherine Lynch, Noel Cunningham, Evanna Lynch, American rapper Dali Voodoo and Pink.
Claire has always supported charities through her work and her appearance at the Bray Rowing Club Fashion Show will be a huge draw for the occasion.
Joining Claire on the night is Spanish designer Silvia Ortega, who operates from her base in Wicklow town.
Silvia initially moved to Ireland from her native Spain to discover new cultures. This journey ultimately rekindled her love for all things fashion, leading her to enrol in a Fashion Design Course in Dublin Institute of Design.
Now, Silvia specialises in sustainable fashion, embracing timeless designs crafted from natural fabrics that cater to the modern, eco-conscious woman. Her fashion brand epitomizes timeless and versatile elegant designs suitable for different occasions.
Silvia mainly draws inspiration from elements rooted in her Spanish cultural background, Irish heritage and nature. Each collection showcases a rich variety of textures and intricate detailing. She loves experimenting with different materials and traditional techniques, creating unique combinations resulting in original designs that stand the test of time.
Her designs are available at Marion Cuddy Boutique in Powerscourt Shopping Centre in Dublin.
Having dressed “everyone from a Eurovision winner to Saudi royals”, fashion designer and tailor Maire Forkin offers an exclusive service from her studio in south Dublin and Mayo. The made to measure collection offers clients a wide selection of styles and silhouettes from which to choose, with the focus on mother of the bride dresses, evening dresses and Wedding Dresses.
She emphasises shape and structure, offering well-tailored designer outfits with exceptional fits. Her expertise lies in creating fashion designs that accentuate her clients’ figures, whether emphasising slimness, height, or curves. Her contemporary chic designs are essentially “investment pieces, offering versatility and exclusivity”.
Also presenting designs on the evening is Karina Mizrahi, an Argentinian Irish Designer with an eclectic background in fashion, textile and craft.
The Mizrahi family has always been involved with the fabric and fabric restoration industry, tailoring, and all its affiliations and Karina has found herself following in their hallowed footsteps. After many years of working in education and in the technology industry, and having travelled to many countries, Karina pursued her passion in the fabric business.
The Karina Mizrahi label was established in Dublin City Centre in July 2017 and all her creations are created and realised in a cosy and magical design studio by Karina Mizrahi and her team. The garments are individual creations, each one made and lined with selected material, as in 100pc cotton, linen, lace and silk.
Of course, it’s not all about the fashion, as the show will be complemented by plenty of entertainment, including local singer-songwriter Hannah Grace.
Hannah’s style is a mix of country, folk and pop and she will be performing a mix of original songs at the show. Hannah has recently showcased her original songs at the Seaside Arts Club, in the Mermaid Arts Centre.
There will be a fairly extravagant raffle on the night with some fantastic prizes, as well as finger food provided by the Martello. DJ Ian Gallagher will be playing the runway mix to support the models, and some of the local boutiques who will also be showcasing their wares are Bond Brothers Bray, Anita b clothing boutique Bray, One Oh Nine Boutique Bray and Wardrobe Clothing Boutique Ashford.
