If there’s one thing Chelsea owner Todd Boehly loves doing, it’s splashing the cash in transfer windows – and this summer is no exception.
The Blues are embarking on their first season under Enzo Maresca after Mauricio Pochettino left Stamford Bridge.
Ex-Leicester boss Maresca will be keen to put his stamp on Chelsea’s bloated squad, while also complying with Financial Fair Play rules, which will surely mean a few departures.
RadioTimes.com has rounded up the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and confirmed deals below.
Updated: July 5th 2024
Maresca has already been busy this summer and his main signing has been from his old side Leicester, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall heading to Stamford Bridge.
Dewsbury-Hall is joined by Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo as new faces heading to Chelsea.
The Blues have managed to raise funds for incoming signings by selling players deemed surplus to requirements, with Ian Maatsen heading to Aston Villa, Lewis Hall joining Newcastle and Omari Hutchinson completing a move to Ipswich Town.
Conor Callagher could be another exit this summer, with Tottenham and Aston Villa eyeing the all-action midfielder.
It also remains to be seen whether Chelsea will make a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is set to leave Italy this summer. The Blues could potentially use Romelu Lukaku in a swap deal, with Napoli boss Antonio Conte a big fan of the forward.
