TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has released data highlighting the 10 highest-paying job sectors in Indonesia as of August 2024. Notably, the mining industry tops the list.
According to the BPS report, the mining sector has the highest average monthly wage at Rp5.23 million, followed closely by the finance and insurance sector at Rp5.08 million.
In contrast, the lowest average wages are found in the other service sector, with an average of Rp 1.74 million, and the agriculture sector with an average wage of Rp2.24 million.
Overall, the average wage across all sectors in August 2024 reached Rp3.27 million, a 2.81% increase from the previous year’s figure of Rp3.18 million.
