APR provides a real-time look at a team’s academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, which provides a measure of each team’s academic performance. Multi-year APR scores released on Tuesday are based on the averages from the single year scores of the (2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23). A perfect score is 1,000.
The Mastodon men’s basketball team earned a 978 multi-year rate, tied for third in the Horizon League and fourth of 11 Division I programs in Indiana. The Purdue Fort Wayne women’s team was also tied for third in the league with a score of 995, and fourth in the state.
The men’s cross country team compiled a 995 score, third in the state of 10 men’s cross country programs.
Among Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association squads, the Mastodon men’s volleyball team tied for second thanks to a 986 multi-year score.
Men’s basketball, men’s cross country, men’s volleyball, women’s basketball, women’s cross country and women’s volleyball. earned perfect 1,000 single-year scores for the 2022-23 academic year.
