Recruiting season is heating up and the Auburn football program is remaining competitive when it comes to securing commitments from the best prospects in the class of 2025. Currently the Auburn football recruiting class contains 16 commits and is ranked #5 nationally, according to 247 Sports.
As the 2025 cycle nears its end, there are several prospects who have already committed to a program that the Auburn football coaching staff is still pursuing. There are a number of commits from both USC and Alabama, but Auburn Rivals reports that the following six prospects are the biggest names to watch for flip news.
-Elijah Menendez, linebacker, Miami commit
-Antonio Coleman, defensive line, Alabama commit
-Derick Smith, wide receiver, Alabama commit
-Nate Marshall, defensive end, Michigan
-Julian Lewis, quarterback, USC
-Na’eem Offord, cornerback, Ohio State
Meanwhile, former Auburn basketball player Jaylin Williams has been working out with multiple NBA teams ahead of the Draft to try to raise his stock and forge relationships in the league. Earlier this week, On3’s James Fletcher III released his list of the top 100 prospects available ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft, which included Williams at spot #78.
Williams, who ends his career with the Tigers as the winningest player in Auburn basketball history has worked out with the Dallas Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors, the Boston Celtics, and others ahead of the big event later this week.
The 2024 NBA Draft will take place from Wednesday, June 26 to Thursday, June 27, and will be broadcast on ESPN from the Barclays Center in New York City.
