Class of 2025 center Chris Cenac announced his top seven schools Wednesday, and Arkansas basketball made the cut.
Cenac, 6-10 and 210 pounds, of Link Academy in Branson, Mo., listed Arkansas, Kentucky, Houston, LSU, Auburn, Baylor and Tennessee as his top schools, according to Joe Tipton of On3.com.
He previously had named his top 12 of Arkansas, Kentucky, Houston, LSU, Connecticut, Auburn, Alabama, Baylor, Tennessee, Michigan State, Louisville and Texas.
Cenac was named the MVP of the NBPA Top 100 Camp after averaging an 18.6 points, 11.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists on June 8-13 in Orlando, Fla.
He has taken official visits to Kentucky, Houston, Auburn and Tennessee, with Arkansas being a possibility.
ESPN rates him as a 5-star recruit, and the No. 1 center and the No. 6 overall recruit.
“Chris Cenac Jr. has emerged as a top prospect in the class of 2025 and shows potential as a future NBA pick,” ESPN national recruiting director Paul Biancardi said. “How he impacts the game right now is by making his presence felt during the course of action with his size, skill, rebounding and shot-blocking ability. He rebounds and scores with touch and mobility.
“Consistent effort is his next step. A wonderful young man who is coachable with outstanding upside. Currently he is a top-10 prospect regardless of class. When he goes from prospect to player, he will become a force.”
