The swanky Kindle scribe ereader is high on my wishlist – and it’s on sale
As a self confessed book lover, Amazon’s original Kindle (was £94.99, now £74.99, Amazon.co.uk) is my prized possession for commuting and travelling. But with a few more holidays on the cards for summer, I’ve got my eye on an upgrade courtesy of the Kindle scribe.
Kindle scribe (64 GB): Was £409.99, now £274.99, Amazon.co.uk
The Kindle scribe comes with a stylus for creating notes in the margins of the page, which is pretty neat. “The scribe collects your notes together in one place”, our tester explained in their review, but “not all books can be written on, at least, not yet”. In terms of reading experience, they added that the big display means you can squeeze more words into a page, resulting in fewer page turns (or you can opt for bigger text). And there’s no time like the present to invest in the swanky new ereader because the price has been slashed by a generous £134.

Blink video doorbell: Was £59.99, now £29.99, Amazon.co.uk
The best budget-buy video doorbell in our review, the writer praised it for its affordable price point, functionality and slim design, noting that it’s “less obtrusive than some others we tested”.
“The audio quality was decent – both hearing what someone was saying on the doorstep and then speaking to them through our app,” they noted. “We could adjust the motion-detection function, so it only triggered recording of relevant events, and adjust the length of the clip it captures. The night vision was decent, too,” added our writer.

This is the best Prime Day deal on an Emma mattress
Prime Day is all about saving on those big ticket items that have been on the wishlist for a while. Case in point: a mattress. Considering we spend a third of our lives asleep, it’s important to get that purchase right.
Tried and tested by our sleep expert, you can’t get much better than the Emma nextgen premium mattress. Now, it’s on sale with 40 per cent off.
Emma nextgen premium single mattress: Was £709, now £389, Amazon.co.uk
“For fans of firm mattresses, the Emma premium plus is sure to go down a treat”, our tester said in their review. Crowning it as the best breathable option, our tester found that the Emma NextGen premium mattress was one of the comfiest they had ever slept on. “What makes this so impressive is the five layers of comfort”, they explained, “four of which are made from foam, and one a 12.5cm tall layer of pocket springs, making the whole thing soft and spongy.” You can sleep even better now, as Amazon has slashed the price of a single mattress by more than £300.
