In the latest release of the Coaches Poll, the Crimson Tide is up four spots to No. 8 after last Wednesday’s win over UNC in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
The Tar Heels dropped out of the Top 25 with the defeat, falling from No. 22.
Back in Coleman Coliseum for the first time in over a month on Saturday, coach Nate Oats and UA are preparing for a visit from unranked Creighton, who received 20 votes in Monday’s poll following last week’s upset of Kansas.
With the loss, the Jayhawks tumbled nine spots from the No. 1 status they’d held since the preseason. Now, rival and No. 2 Auburn trails a top-ranked, undefeated Tennessee team.
