WASHINGTON, D.C. | AARP — According to an AARP survey, nearly two-thirds of older adults had travel plans in 2024, on average spending over $6,500 on vacations.
While most travelers ages 50-plus are currently using technology for travel, there is opportunity for increased, more consistent usage.
The survey also showed that despite general positivity around using technology for travel, concerns about safety are common. The research shows that the majority of older adults are looking to learn more about the technology that can be used for travel and need greater reassurance that digital tools are safe to use.
Tom Kamber, Executive Director of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP was on the show today to share the survey findings and the top tech tips on how to use digital travel tools to save time and money.
