8 Seascape (Bet Now: $2.50) looks a very sharp filly for Michael Freedman, a stable that is having a fat run with their babies. This girl debuted at the midweeks at Gosford where she was well backed at odds and #They got it absolutely spot on, leading throughout and she gapped them, winning by just under five lengths and running good time. Keen to see how she goes.
Danger
11 Rantan (Bet Now: $4.60) is a filly with a decent engine under the hood I feel. Ron Quinton trained filly that debuted over 900m at Newcastle where she gave them a start and a beating, launching late to finish over the top and win impressively. Like her up to 1400m and with a more positive steer, she’ll take beating I feel.
Long Shot
2 Diddle Dumpling (Bet Now: $12.00) has always had talent to the eye since day one and she is starting to show it. She was an outsider in the Percy Sykes two weeks back but I thought she did a credible job in defeat, beaten just under two lengths by Eneeza in a hot race. Back to 1100m I like and if there is petrol left in the tank, she appeals.

5 Biographer (Bet Now: $8.50) gets the nod but not really a race I want to get involved in. Ron Quinton trains this gelding, who ran over 1200m at Gosford last time where he was just off the speed before angling clear and kept finding the line but was held late by Miss Hades, a filly who I feel is Stakes class, so that does read well for what looks an even Midway.
Danger
13 Xtra Gear (Bet Now: $9.00) will jump on the bunny and give cheek. Sat on speed at this track/distance fresh and battled away well in defeat behind Gold Revolver before going to Eagle Farm when leading and giving a good sight but couldn’t quite see it through when run down late by Shalaa’s Moment. Form out of that has been strong and with her racing style, she’ll give herself every chance.
Long Shot
12 Mad Darcey (Bet Now: $14.00) comes here with fresh legs for David Pfieffer, having not raced since the Midway here on March 16 where she struggled on the shifty track and was never really a factor behind Super Bright. The form prior was quite impressive and with the freshen up, tick over trial, she can bounce back.

7 Green Shadows (Bet Now: $5.50) looks to have come back in outstanding order for Ryan/Alexiou. Not sure he beat a great deal fresh over 1400m at Warwick Farm but he made a mess of them and was quite dominant in the run to the line, winning with something in the locker. Good room for improvement, he’s hard to beat.
Danger
4 Rhythm Of Love (Bet Now: $3.50) commands respect for John O’Shea. He ran in the South Pacific at Randwick where he was near the speed and was there to win in the straight but just couldn’t quite see it through when a close up third to a nice horse, Panic. Maps perfect, he’s in the mix.
Long Shot
2 Highlights (Bet Now: $10.00) is an improver for Bjorn Baker. He resumed over 1400m here on March 30 where he was too bad to be true, finishing down the track behind Gringotts, who would be $1.50 against these. Tick over trial was good and his best is good enough to be dangerous against these.

1 Shine Your Light (Bet Now: $46.00) is worth a throw at the stumps each way. John Ramsey trained mare that ran over 1000m at Dubbo last start where she got a fair way out of her ground and while she was never a winning threat, I really liked the way she found the line late in the piece. Think she’ll be hard to hold out if the inside gate can be used to advantage.
Danger
11 Super Impressive (Bet Now: $31.00) is a Colt Prosser trained filly that is heading in the right direction and deserves a crack at a Highway. She has won three on the bounce, the latest over 1030m at Grafton where she took forever to wind up but the last 50m, she really savaged the line to get up and win. She’s got electric change up speed and will be strong at the end.
Long Shot
4 Zaru (Bet Now: $31.00) is a proven Highway performer that is a knockout chance. He resumed at Wyong where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, I did like the way he found the line late behind Olivia’s Spirit. Likely spots them a start but should be strong at the end. Dangerous.

9 Miss Hades (Bet Now: $5.50) is a filly I have time for and I am confident she can measure up. She is second up for Gary Portelli after resuming at the midweeks at Wyong where she was ridden with real confidence by Schiller and she was dominant late, beating the older horses in a sharp return. Like her up to 1300m and with good upside, she’s right in the mix.
Danger
7 Smart Little Miss (Bet Now: $16.00) looks suited up to 1300m for Ron Quinton. This girl ran over 1200m at Gosford last time, working home well enough without threatening when beaten just under five lengths by Memoria. Much better set up here and I do think onto the bigger track, she’s a big improver and a proven performer.
Long Shot
5 Anagain (Bet Now: $12.00) is a talented mare for Joe Pride when right and I am convinced she is racing well. She ran over 1250m last Wednesday at Canterbury and was very good from near last on the turn, working home with real purpose late in the piece behind a smart three year old, Briasa. Hard fit, back to Mares grade, can settle closer…dangerous.

1 Let’s Try (Bet Now: $3.70) looks really poorly weighted but that said, I think he’s clearly the best horse in the race. He resumed over 1200m at Newcastle where he did work on speed and I thought he’d be in trouble 400m out but he was trucking and he dashed clear late, proving strong to the line in winning. I think he can measure up to blacktype company this prep and will be hard to beat here I feel.
Danger
7 Cigar Flick (Bet Now: $7.50) has to be given another look. She ran her race behind the gates prior to the PJ Bell where she lost a plate, was re-plated and just worked herself up into a state, eventually finishing down the track behind Facile. Back to this level, fresh legs, she has the runs on the board to beat these.
Long Shot
12 Ravenclaw (Bet Now: $14.00) has found a purple patch for Chris Waller and rates highly against this lot. Loved the way he let down to win his maiden at Wyong two back before going to Gosford where he kept chasing from off the speed but just found one better in Keep Your Cool. Like him onto the bigger track and this isn’t a deep race.

7 Wategos (Bet Now: $12.00) looks ready to rock and roll fresh. Bjorn Baker trained gelding that is first up, having not raced since The Big Dance when outclassed but far from disgraced in defeat behind Attractable. He has been outstanding in his trial work to prepare for his return and while 1100m is on the short side, he appeals.
Danger
15 Kazou (Bet Now: $3.40) is a quality mare for Chris Waller that resumes. This girl is first up after a two run Spring prep, winning here fresh before going to Cranbourne where she stepped up to 1400m and couldn’t quite see it through when second to Revolutionary Miss. Gun fresh horse and bolted up in a recent trial. Keen to see how she goes fresh, potentially with eyes towards blacktype.
Long Shot
6 Astero (Bet Now: $20.00) is a beauty for Matty Smith and should be around the mark once again. He ran at the midweeks at Doomben last time where he got the dream run in transit near the speed and was there to win the race but just found one better in At Witz End. Genuine horse who always runs well and strikes a winnable race.

4 Waterford (Bet Now: $5.50) is a talented animal for Chris Waller that resumes. This guy has a good race in him I feel, ideally with the right placement. He resumes after a frustrating Spring/Summer prep but he was good for the most part. His trial work to get ready for his return has been sharp and first up at 1500m tells me there is some form of intent.
Danger
3 Amokura (Bet Now: $11.00) is a quality mare for Kris Lees. The QLD Oaks winner from last year resumes and has been kept very fresh since that Oaks win, with just a two run Spring prep, the second run being an absolute belter in the Matriarch. She has been great in a couple of trials for her return and for mine, she is a mare who I can see heading to Brisbane and being competitive in good races.
Long Shot
2 Grebeni (Bet Now: $9.50) is first up for Ryan/Alexiou and is dangerous. This guy won his last two races to end last prep, both coming over the Randwick mile. Not sure what they have in mind for this horse this prep, potentially a race like the Scone Cup? Not sure, but his trial work has been good and is trained on the track. He has class as well.

8 Premise (Bet Now: $5.00) is a quality mare for John O’Shea that comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since the Epona on Golden Slipper Day where she was good from off the speed without threatening, beaten just over two lengths by Osmose. Tick over trial last week at Hawkesbury was quite good and the depth here isn’t overly deep. One of the leading contenders.
Danger
10 Gan Teorainn (Bet Now: $5.00) is a capable mare but she just lacks change up speed. That was the case at Gosford last time where she was tucked in behind the speed and tried hard but just didn’t have a turn of foot behind Bethencourt. Hard fit now and up to 1800m, she has the quality to win…but she is nearing D-Day.
Long Shot
3 Let’srollthedice (Bet Now: $9.00) is a Danny O’Brien trained gelding that is second up after resuming over 1400m at Caulfield where he paraded like he would need the run and that’s how it panned out, failing to beat a runner home behind Here To Shock. Fitter, up in trip, Nash, his best is good enough.

What a punish of a race to close out the meeting. Landed with 8 Skywolf (Bet Now: $16.00) but I have no real confidence in this race. He ran over 1200m last Saturday at Mornington and I thought did a good job, working home with real purpose late in the piece behind Talbragar. Stable isn’t known to back them up but he maps well, home track and will be strong late.
Danger
7 Starman (Bet Now: $5.50) is a son of Zoustar that comes here with fresh legs, having not race since March 20 at Wyong where he kept chasing from off the speed but seemingly had his chance behind McHale. Tick over trial to keep him fit was good, he gets a sweet run from the gate and this isn’t a deep race.
Long Shot
3 Buillt (Bet Now: $23.00) is an I Am Invincible four year old that resumes. His last run came on Feb 17 at Randwick where he didn’t quite get the rub of the green in the straight so I’d be forgiving of that failure on paper behind Redstone Well. Two trials to prepare, the latest on Tuesday, have been good…watch the market.
