SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Texas women’s basketball’s Madison Booker has been named a top-10 finalist for the Cheryl Miller Award, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced today.
The Cheryl Miller Award, in its eighth year, honors the top small forwards in women’s Division I women’s college basketball. It is named after the three-time Naismith Player of the Year and Class of 1995 Hall of Famer.
Booker, the 2024 Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year, has scored 20 or more points in nine games this season and is shooting 49 percent from the field for the season. Booker is one of two SEC players this season to post multiple games with at least 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. On Sunday at Texas A&M Booker scored 17 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and tallied five assists. Booker is averaging 16.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game this season.
