COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) — Williams-Brice Stadium, home of the South Carolina Gamecocks, isn’t a top-25 college football stadium.
At least ESPN thinks so.
ESPN released its list of top 25 college football stadiums and South Carolina didn’t make the list. However, other Southeastern Conference schools like LSU (No. 1), Alabama (No. 9), Tennessee (No. 10 ), Texas A&M (No. 13), Auburn (No. 17), Georgia (No. 18), Florida (No. 20), Ole Miss (No. 21) and Texas (No. 25) made the cut.
The list was curated by ESPN asking 14 college football writers to rank the best stadiums in the sport. There were no parameters and no criteria. South Carolina received two total votes.

Good news for the Gamecocks, Williams-Brice Stadium did receive love in CBS’ SEC stadium rankings, coming in at No. 7.
“South Carolina’s stadium packs a punch, especially for a program not regarded as a historic power,” David Cobb writes. “Williams-Brice Stadium shakes when “Sandstorm” comes on, and the Gamecocks have notched some big home wins under Shane Beamer. Beating Florida and Auburn was crucial to getting the Gamecocks bowl-eligible in 2021, and an upset of No. 5 Tennessee altered the playoff picture in 2022.”
Williams-Brice Stadium also received some love in EA Sports‘ toughest places to play, ranking No. 15.
