NFL draft season is heating up.
As teams prepare to gather in Indianapolis for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine later this month, all eyes will turn toward this year’s crop of draft prospects.
Dane Brugler, The Athletic’s NFL Draft analyst, is included in that group as he recently released the first version of his annual Top 100 Big Board.
The list will fluctuate from now until April, but an early takeaway is that he believes this is a strong class on the defensive side of the ball.
Each of Brugler’s top four players are on defense in Colorado cornerback Travis Hunter, Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, Georgia edge rusher Jalon Walker and Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
The Top 10, however, is split evenly between offense and defense.
One particular position that stands out on its own on Brugler’s Big Board is edge rusher, which has the most of any position on the list. He has 10 edge rushers in the top 45 and a total of 17 overall in the top 100.
That includes a player that has been mocked to the Bolts in recent editions of the Mock Draft Tracker, Marshall’s Mike Green, who comes in at No. 12 overall in Brugler’s initial list.
It is also a list that is heavy with positions that have also been mocked to the Chargers in defensive tackles and cornerbacks, which each have 13 players in Brugler’s top 100 list.
