Detroit fans boo the Washington Commanders before Lions take the field
The Detroit Lions host the Washington Commanders at Ford Field for the NFC divisional round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025.
With the divisional round behind us, only four teams remain in contention for the Super Bowl. The other 28 teams are looking ahead to the NFL draft.
The Tennessee Titans have that (dis)honor of securing the No. 1 overall pick this year. After finishing the season with a 3-14 record, the Titans will have their first opportunity to draft No. 1 overall since 2016, when they traded the top pick to the Los Angeles Rams, who wound up selecting quarterback Jared Goff.
The Titans obviously have a lot of holes in their roster, but the most prevalent is quarterback. This year’s class has a number of high-end quarterback prospects, including Miami’s Cam Ward, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, and Texas’ Quinn Ewers. Perhaps the Titans could trade down again and still get a solid signal-caller. Or perhaps they could shock the world and opt for one of the talented players at another position. Who knows?
Here are the odds for the college football prospects who could go first overall. All odds via BetMGM.
Odds as of Sunday, Jan. 19
Day 1 of the 2025 NFL draft is set for Thursday, April 24, starting at 8 p.m. ET in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Rounds 2-3 will take place the following day, with rounds 4-7 happening that Saturday, April 26.
