U.S. News & World Report has revealed its 2025 national rankings of that most competitive and high-growth area of higher education, online graduate programs, and three eligible Metropolitan College programs are featured among the top 10 of their respective classes. This marks the 12th straight year the programs have earned the recognition as among the best in the nation
MET’s online MS in Criminal Justice, which has placed top-6 each year since 2015, is ranked #6 nationally among the Best Online Graduate Criminal Justice Programs for 2025, and #10 among Best Online Master’s in Criminal Justice Programs for Veterans. Ranked out of a total of 71 schools, it tied competitors like Texas Christian University and the University of Nebraska–Omaha, placed ahead of Arizona State University, and behind the University of the Cumberlands.
MET’s online MS in Applied Data Analytics, MS in Computer Information Systems, MS in Health Informatics, and MS in Software Development ranked #10 in the nation among 2025’s Best Online Master’s in Computer Information Technology Programs (out of 72 schools), out-ranking competitors like Auburn University, the University of Cincinnati, and North Carolina State University, it tied with Rice University as well as North Carolina A&T State University, and placed behind the University of Southern California and Florida State University. It has ranked among the top 10 every year since 2014. It ranked #11 among Best Online Masters in Computer Information Technology Programs for Veterans.
MET’s online master’s degree programs in management—including the MS in Applied Business Analytics, the MS in Enterprise Risk Management, the MS in Financial Management, the MS in Global Marketing Management, the MS in Insurance Management, the MS in Project Management, and the MS in Supply Chain Management—placed #10 among the Best Online Master’s in Business Programs (non-MBA) (out of 154 schools), tying with University of Georgia, placing behind Michigan State University and Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Newark, and outranking the University of Connecticut, the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill, Florida State University, and Florida International University. It has placed among the top 11 every year since 2014. It rated out as the #15 Best Online Master’s in Business Programs for Veterans (Excluding MBA).
While these rankings represent a modest regression from years’ past, MET is proud to continue to represent the heights of excellence in professional graduate online education with its top 10 rankings.
