TWO Irish golf course have featured in the top-10 most instagrammed golf courses in the UK and Ireland.
New research from Betway analysed Instagram hashtag data for the top 100 golf courses in the UK and Ireland, to determine which are the most picturesque greens to play on.
And iconic Lahinch Golf Club was ranked number four on the list.
The renowned golf club located in Lahinch, County Clare is often used by PGA Tour star’s for practice ahead of Open Championships.
Established in 1892, it is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland.
The club boast the Old Course and the Castle Course. The Old Course is the main attraction, known for its natural terrain, undulating fairways, and challenging greens.
It has been consistently ranked among the top golf courses in the world, and earned 3,220 tags on Instagram from the study.
Another course that ranked behind Lahinch was Ballybunion in Kerry, the famous links course came in at number 5 in the top-100.
The legendary golf destination is also renowned for its challenging links courses and stunning coastal scenery.
Established in 1893, Ballybunion has also earned a reputation as one of the finest links courses on the planet.
It gained 3,026 Instagram tags on the list that was compiled by Betway.
Both course have hosted Irish Open Championships in the past.
Open Championship rota venue St. Andrews in Scotland unsurprisingly topped the list way ahead of the rest with 17, 385 tags on the social media platform.
