A pair of Georgia Bulldogs have been ranked among the best 2025 NFL draft tight end prospects according to Pro Football Focus. Georgia has had a tight end drafted in six straight NFL drafts and former Georgia star Brock Bowers was the first tight end selected in the 2024 NFL draft.
This season, Georgia is looking to replace Brock Bowers. The Bulldogs return tight ends Oscar Delp and Lawson Luckie from the 2023 season. Georgia will look to use several different players to recreate Brock Bowers’ elite level of production. Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia added one of the nation’s best tight end transfers in Stanford’s Benjamin Yurosek. Additionally, the Bulldogs signed four-star tight end Jaden Reddell, who is coming off a productive spring.
If Georgia ends up having two of the top-five tight ends drafted in the 2025 draft, then Georgia should not miss Brock Bowers too much this fall. Who are the top five tight ends in the 2025 NFL draft?
Benjamin Yurosek, Georgia
Stanford transfer Benjamin Yurosek did not join the Georgia Bulldogs until this summer, but he figures to be one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL draft. A healthy 2024 college football season would go a long way for Yurosek, who is a former All-Pac-12 first-team selection and is Georgia’s most experienced tight end.
2023 stats: 16 catches for 239 yards and a touchdown
Luke Lachey, Iowa
At first glance, Iowa tight end Luke Lachey has some rough stats, but remember he only played in three games during the 2023 college football season. Lachey missed most of last season with an ankle injury, so it will be critical for him to stay healthy this year. Lachey was pretty productive in 2022 (28 catches for 398 yards and four touchdowns).
2023 stats: 10 receptions for 131 yards and no touchdowns
Mitchell Evans, Notre Dame
Notre Dame tight end Mitchell Evans averaged over 60 receiving yards per game in 2023, but he missed the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Notre Dame produces a lot of elite tight end talent and Evans is the latest top draft tight end prospect to hail from Notre Dame, but he will also have prove that he can stay healthy this fall.
2023 stats: 29 receptions for 422 yards and a touchdown
Oscar Delp, Georgia
Georgia tight end Oscar Delp got a taste of life without Brock Bowers for much of the second half of the 2023 college football season. Delp is positioned to be Georgia’s top tight end in 2024. Delp has excellent size, but needs to continue to improve as a blocker. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end should see more targets this fall.
2023 stats: 24 receptions for 284 yards and three touchdowns
Colston Loveland, Michigan
Michigan tight end Colston Loveland is frequently ranked as the top tight end in the 2025 NFL draft. There’s a lot to like in Loveland. He is coming off a productive 2023 season and shined in the national championship game for Michigan.
2023 stats: 45 receptions for 649 yards and four touchdowns
