Las Vegas (KSNV) — Travel Nevada has unveiled its list of the Top 10 “Out There” Experiences, inviting visitors to explore the Silver State’s vast public lands and unique outdoor adventures.
This announcement follows the recent passage of the EXPLORE Act, a bipartisan effort aimed at modernizing and increasing access to public lands and waterways across the United States.
Nevada, which boasts over 60 million acres of public land, offers a diverse array of outdoor activities.
Tracie Barnthouse, chief communications officer at Travel Nevada, said, “Travel Nevada is dedicated to sharing the countless transformative travel experiences across the state that invite discovery, adventure and exploration.”

The curated list includes thrilling activities such as heli-skiing in the Ruby Mountains, skydiving over Hoover Dam, and tranquil dark sky viewing at Massacre Rim.
Visitors can also explore Gold Point Ghost Town, mine for rare gemstones, and climb the “World’s Tallest Outdoor Climbing Wall” in Reno.
For mountain biking enthusiasts, Ely offers a dream destination with trails at Ward Mountain Recreation Area and Cave Lake State Park.
In downtown Las Vegas, the SlotZilla Zip Line provides an exhilarating ride above the world’s largest concentration of LED lights.
Other highlights include discovering ancient petroglyphs near Austin and gliding across South Lake Tahoe’s crystal waters in a transparent kayak.
