2025 is poised to be another colossal year for travel and tourism and many of those trips will include travel professionals such as advisors and suppliers and traversing the globe to meet and share ideas and insights.
The 12-month calendar is loaded with important conferences, conventions, events and gatherings offering unique opportunities for education, networking, certification and celebration.
Here are the top travel industry events that travel professionals won’t want to miss in 2025.
The renowned International Tourism Fair Fitur returns to Madrid, Spain from January 22-26 this year. That same weekend (January 25-26) will see the New York Travel & Adventure Show return to the Big Apple. The Travel & Adventure show will make its 2025 debut in Atlanta, Georgia from January 11-12. Meanwhile, Virtuoso Forum US will wrap up the month in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from January 28-31.
The International Inbound Travel Association (IITA) will host its 2025 Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah from February 9-12. February will also be a busy month for the Travel & Adventure Show, which will make stops in Chicago (February 1-2), Phoenix (February 15-16) and Los Angeles (February 22-23).
Finally, the ANATO 2025 Tourist Showcase will be held in Bogota, Colombia to close out the month from February 26-28.
March will begin with the popular ITB Berlin convention in the German capital from March 4-6. Last year’s event drew some 24,000 visitors. In 2025, the motto will be “The Power of Transition lives here.” ASTA River Cruise Expo 2025 will start a week later in Vienna, Austria, taking place March 12-16.
The Travel & Adventure Show will wrap up for the year in March with stops in Denver (March 8-9), the San Francisco Bay Area (March 15-16), Dallas (March 22-23) and Washington, DC (March 29-30).
April will be one of the busiest months for marquee travel events in 2025. Major events include the 40th anniversary of Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami from April 7-10, the Travel Weekly Hawaii Leadership Forum at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort on April 15 and CLIA Cruise360 in Fort Lauderdale from April 22-27.
Other notable events include the Mountain Travel Symposium in Snowmass Village, Colorado from April 7-12 and Tianguis Turistico Mexico, which will start in Baja California on April 28 and run through May 1.
Virtuoso Symposium will take place aboard the Crystal Serenity as it sails from Barcelona to Marseille on May 13-17. Just days later, the highly anticipated ASTA Travel Advisor Conference comes to the Hyatt Regency in Salt Lake City, Utah from May 20-22.
ASTA’s largest trade show of the year will feature invaluable insights, knowledge and tips from industry leaders and top-selling advisors as well as opportunities to network and gain certification on-site.
Also happening in May, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) will visit Antigua and Barbuda for the 43rd Caribbean Travel Marketplace (CTM) from May 18-22.
The month will conclude with Destination Canada’s signature event, Rendez-vous Canada, which will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from May 27-30.
June will begin with the Virtuoso Impact Summit in Lake Louise, Canada from June 2-5, followed by the Romance Travel Forum at AVA Resort Cancun from June 4-8.
TravelAge West’s annual WAVE Awards return to Marina del Ray, California on June 5. Later, Travel Leaders Network’s annual EDGE conference will come to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from June 9-12.
Midway through the month, Chicago will host U.S. Travel’s IPW—which is the world’s leading inbound travel trade show powering more than $5.5 billion in future travel to the U.S.—from June 14-18.
The powerful Global Travel Marketplace (GTM) West connecting like minds in travel will take over La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California from June 17-19. This annual appointment-only event brings some of the most influential travel advisors in North America together with global travel suppliers in invaluable face-to-face meetings and boardroom sessions.
Following GTM West, the powerful Global Travel Marketplace (GTM) will be held at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida from July 10-12.
Virtuoso Travel Week will descend on Las Vegas from August 9-15 while ASTA will head to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for its annual Caribbean Showcase from August 23-27.
A busy September will begin with Nexion Travel Group’s CoNexion 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort from September 8-10.
In the final days of summer, Delta Vacations University 2025 will take place from September 13-14 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. Also happening in September, Northstar Travel Group’s Future Leaders in Travel event will head to Anchorage, Alaska from September 21-24, connecting the next generation of travel buyers and sellers.
The Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) 2025 will take place in Montego Bay, Jamaica from September 22-24.
Hundreds of ASTA members and partners will head to Washington, DC from October 6-8 for the organization’s annual Legislative Day, which includes lobbying for important policy changes to improve the industry landscape for advisors and their clients.
That event will take place at the same time as IMEX America in Las Vegas. The largest trade show for the business events industry will run from October 7-9 in 2025.
A week later, Virtuoso’s final global event of 2025, the Chairman’s Event, will be held in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico from October 14-18. Other notable October events include ALG Vacations’ Ascend Conference and Cruise Planners Annual Convention as well as the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association’s (IGLTA) 2025 Global Convention, which is scheduled to take place in Palm Springs, California from October 21-25.
World Travel Market London will kick off November in the UK capital from November 4-6. At the same time, CruiseWorld, which features educational workshops, general sessions, ship tours and a trademark Exhibitor Showcase will return to Fort Lauderdale from November 5-7.
That event will coincide with the prestigious Travvy Awards, also known as the Oscars of the travel industry, which will also be held inside the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center on November 6.
The 2025 Phocuswright Conference will head to San Diego, California from November 18-20 while Signature Travel Network’s 2025 Conference will also head west to Las Vegas in November 2025.
A busy 2025 will conclude with several key events in December, including the USTOA Annual Conference & Marketplace at Maryland’s National Harbor just outside of Washington, DC. This year’s event will bring together North American travel companies with tourism suppliers and destinations from around the world in an intimate and exclusive setting at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.
Travel Weekly will host its Readers Choice Awards at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History on December 10.
