Blackpink’s Rosé is returning to the music scene after three years! Taking to Instagram, the On the Ground singer announced the release date of her highly-awaited solo album. Titled rosie, the full-length album is set to drop on December 6. Sharing a pic that featured her different personas, the Blackpink star wrote, “my first studio album “rosie” OUT DEC 6th.”
BTS’ Suga has reportedly been fined 15 million won (Rs 9 lakh) for driving an electric scooter while under the influence. As per reports, Judge Lee Yoo-seop of the Seoul Western District Court issued a summary order on September 27, in which he sentenced the rapper to the hefty fine for violating the Road Traffic Act. For the unversed, on August 6, Suga had been arrested for riding an electric scooter while drunk.
K-drama star Lee Sun-Kyun was honoured at the 29th Busan International Film Festival. The actor, who starred in a bunch on hit K-dramas as well as films, was posthumously conferred with the Korea Cinema Contribution Award. After awarding the late actor, the organisers of the film festival paid a special tribute to Lee Sun-kyun through a video featuring his best works and thought-provoking quotes.
On October 3, MONSTA X’s Minhyuk was discharged after successfully completing his mandatory military service. To celebrate the special occasion, all the MONSTA X members reunited. Shownu, Kihyun, Jooheon, Hyungwon and I.M. welcomed Minhyuk back to the civilian life with warm hugs and a bouquet of flowers.
The Glory fame Park Jia is no more. On September 30, the 52 year-old star passed away after suffering from a cerebral infarction. “Jia recently collapsed due to a cerebral infarction and was battling it in the hospital, but unfortunately, she did not recover and passed away,” a close acquittance of the actress shared. The K-drama star’s funeral procession took place on October 2.
After performing Moonlit Floor at the 2024 Global Music Festival, Blackpink’s Lisa released the official audio of the romantic song on October 4. Taking to Instagram, Yerin Baek accused Ha Sung-woon of plagiarising her song 0310 for his Love Next Door OST, What Are We. “It must you to suck copying. feel bad. If you want a song like mine, Please ask me so,” she wrote.
Soon after, Ha Sung-woon’s label Big Planet Made Entertainment released a statement that read, “Ha Sung-woon and Big Planet Made Entertainment were only commissioned by the drama’s OST production company to participate as singers and were not involved in the writing, composing, or arranging of the song.” The label further added, “We sincerely regret that Ha Sung-woon’s OST has been accused of plagiarism, and we apologize for the distress caused to our fans.”
