People have been eagerly waiting to swing some clubs and enjoy everything this entertainment hub has to offer.

City leaders say southwest Greensboro has so much potential which has developers excited. The Top Golf nets can be seen from Interstate 40 which means it’s very accessible to most people in the Triad, which is why developers are working to build even more in the area.
“You can hop on the highway and you can be down the road in no time, both directions. You can head out to MEB, band, and all the development out in Burlington, you can head up right to Winston. This is such a convenient corridor. We’ve got a number of corporations located right here off of 40.”
The director of operations says they’re expecting a big crowd. One family came from Elon. They said the drive was easy, just hopping right on the highway.
“We’ve had the anticipation of them not having to drive to Raleigh-Durham or Charlotte anymore,” said Top Golf Director of Operations Paul Owens.
Right across the street are the brand-new Comet Greensboro apartments.
“They filled up the first phase, and they’re on phase two now and they’re filling phase two. So if you wanted to move there, you could be the first person in the apartment,” said Greensboro 5th District City Councilor Tammi Thurm as she explained why new developments are coming to this area.
The new development isn’t stopping with these new apartments.
“In addition behind me, you’ll see construction zones. I think the idea is there’s going to be a new hotel here. There’s going to be a family-friendly arcade and fun zone experience here,” said Thurm.
She expects this part of Greensboro to continue evolving into what she described as “a new center for Greensboro.”
“We’re really excited about it,” Thurm said. “Greensboro is such a youth sports-focused community that I can imagine families coming in for baseball tournaments and soccer tournaments staying here. There’s entertainment for the kids. It’s just going to be a great area.”
