Tyrone Tracy, Tee Higgins, and Jordan Addison are set up for big weeks ahead. Dan Johnson lists his top five fantasy football trade targets for NFL Week 9.
Fridays are for Five Lists of Five here at DKNetwork, and we’re officially halfway through the NFL season. And Puka Nacua has officially aggravated his knee injury a second time. Mercy for this Rams fan, please.
I digress!
A reminder of the premise behind this specific series of lists: All I want is for you to be better than your friends. You’re going to be surrounded by them on Sunday, probably. How sweet would it be if you could be sure you’ve checked every box possible that might guarantee you a resounding victory this week? Some kick-your-feet-up insights? I’ve got some.
Again—I know my audience. The smoke-break audience. The quick-scan-of-the-phone-on-the-way-to-the-fridge audience. The give-me-as-much-info-as-possible-as-fast-as-possible audience. I’m a man of the people.
And so, once more: Five Lists of Five. Think of these as byte-sized, two-minutes-to-yourself lists to scan during your weekend as you foam at the mouth for any competitive fantasy edge. As much relevant analysis as I can fit into, like, 250 words per player.
Keeping it rolling this week with top five fantasy football trade targets this week.

Free Three. Addison is ultra-talented, and what do you bet the addition of T.J. Hockenson back in the lineup gives Addison a bit more ability to create separation?
This Vikings offense is still well above league-average, and Addison is incredibly talented for a WR2. While he might sometimes be the third passing option in the air attack, I like a fully healthy Vikings offense to see his value tick up.
You can probably get him for a valuable handcuff or a WR3 with upside right now.
He sure had a nice time on National Tight Ends day, but not nice enough to say that the buy-low window has closed! It’s likely the LaPorta owner in your league has found some sort of suitable tight end replacement. Or, perhaps, you possess one that, at present, doesn’t seem like too much of a downgrade.
I’d put some feelers out to see how cheaply you can get LaPorta. I don’t think things are trending up with Jameson Williams, what with the surfacing of a weeks-ago exchange with the police.
Shoutout to the all folks who told me I was a bad journalist for saying Jamo was droppable after his suspension came down! Trade for LaPorta.
Maybe you can capitalize on this woolly concussion stuff he’s got going on this week? Because Tracy is legit. He’s looking like a surefire RB2 the rest of the way; it’s his job, not Singletary’s now.
It’s likely that whoever grabbed Tracy off waivers is feeling pretty self-satisfied, so the price may not work out, here. But I like Tracy to have a big second half. He’s a rookie bruiser with little-to-no professional mileage on his carries. He’ll be a force the rest of the way.
I think a Cedric Tillman for Tyrone Tracy offer, or something in that ballpark, is a fair feel-it-out offer. Beware: news might break soon that Tracy’s cleared the concussion protocol.
This dude is catching anything Russell Wilson tosses his way. Well—at least with his hands. And even on plays that get blown dead.
Pickens would be a high-end WR2 this year if a few of these plays (he ran out of bounds at the five in Week 8, too) shook out differently. Don’t get cute with this one. Send a WR2 you think might regress for the second half of the season in return for Pickens.
He’s going to go nuclear.
These injury woes will pass. But perhaps the frustration of whoever drafted Higgins won’t. He’s more a 1B than a WR2 in the Bengals offense, this we know. The Bengals need to win almost all their remaining games in order to have a chance at making the playoffs.
No-brainer, here. Eat the Higgins rollercoaster of practice non-/participation, and see if you can get him on the cheap.
