Video: Somerset Berkley’s Brendan McDonald scores a touchdown
The Durfee Hilltoppers welcomed in Somerset Berkley for a non-league contest on Friday. The Raiders hung on to beat the Hilltoppers, 28-14.
FALL RIVER — Week 4 produced several great moments for Greater Fall River-area football teams.
Diman football improved to 3-0 on the season after beating league opponent Blue Hills. Atlantis Charter/Westport co-op team collected its second straight win of the season and Somerset Berkley won a grind out game against Durfee.
Durfee and Joseph Case looks to get back into the win column.
Here’s a look at the top performers for Week 4:
The Tritons 13-year-old quarterback had a great game in Week 4. LeRoux was 9-for-16 passing for 148 yards with two touchdowns in leading Atlantis Charter/Westport to its second straight win.
McKenzie had a great game for the unbeaten Bengals in their win against Blue Hills. He caught four passes for a team-high 94 yards and a touchdown.
Perry accounted for five touchdowns — three passing and two rushing touchdowns — in the Bengals’ runaway win against Blue Hills. He completed 11-of-16 passes for 238 yards. Perry also rushed for 42 yards on seven carries.
The Hilltopper sophomore quarterback showed a lot of poise in last week’s game against non-league Somerset Berkley. Sherry completed 10 passes for 127 yards, including 7-of-11 in the second half. He also threw for a touchdown.
Bjork led the charge for the Raiders on defense with a sack and pick-six for a 53-yard touchdown in SBR’s win over Durfee. He also was involved with offense, carrying the ball a number of times.
The Raiders senior quarterback scored a pair of touchdowns in a win against Somerset Berkley. McDonald, who also recovered a fumble, rushed for nearly 80 yards in the victory.
