The body of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was reportedly recovered from the site of the air attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sunday,  a day after the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah confirmed its chief’s death in an Israeli airstrike. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes hit the Yemeni port city of Hodeida on Sunday according to Houthi media. This comes a day after the rebel group, backed by Iran, claimed responsibility for launching a missile at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.

A day after the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah confirmed the death of its chief Hassan Nasrallah in Israeli airstrike, his body was recovered on Sunday (Sep 29) from the site of the air attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs and was intact, reported news agency Reuters, citing a medical source and a security source. 

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Sunday (Sep 29), claimed that Hezbollah’s underground headquarters that was attacked on Friday was located just 53 metres from a United Nations school in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut, stressing that the militant group hides among civilians. 

Days after eliminating Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Israel launched a fresh series of strikes on the Iran-backed group’s stronghold in Beirut on Sunday (Sep 29).

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, on Sunday (Sep 29), said that the killing of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Deputy Commander Brig General Abbas Nilforoushan in Lebanon by Israel in airstrikes “will not go unanswered”.
